A Little About the Opportunity

Sinoculture has teaching English opportunities available in China. This will give you a chance to make an important contribution to the people of China and while doing so gain an in depth experience of the country and its culture that will stay with you the rest of your life.

We have teaching English positions available in the Shandong Province of China and you can teach the English language at either a secondary school or university. product video

Program Requirements

As a teacher in China you must:

• be a native speaker of English
• have no health problems
• have at least a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
• be from either Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or the United States
• commit for at least 6 months. (usually a one year commitment is required)
• be between 18 and 65 years old

The teaching positions start at the beginning of each semester in all Chinese schools and universities: screen replacement

• Spring Semester runs from early March to early July
• Autumn Semester runs from early September to end of January

Teaching Package Offered by Chinese Schools

The reimbursement offered varies from school to school, but a typical package may include:

• Salary: 2,200 - 4,000 RMB (265 - 480 US dollars) per month depending on experience
• One-way airfare refunded on completion of one year of service
• Free Accommodation on campus

Most schools/universities will provide some free local sightseeing and tours to the teachers from time to time during holidays and weekends. Some Chinese courses may be arranged on case by case basis, subject to the final agreement of the sponsoring school.

Program Cost

The costs of the program are as follows:

Sinoculture - Application Fee: US $300.00 Dollars. Once this is paid we will find you a position in one of the teaching placements that we have available.

The application fee covers administration, marketing, program information, placement arrangement, and communication.

The other costs you will need to meet are:

Application Process

All, applicants will be notified by email as to whether their application has been successful.

(1) Complete the Application Form: Fill out the application form at the link below. Upon receipt of the form we will assess your suitability for the program.

(2) Contact You: If you are successful we will then email you a letter of preliminary acceptance.

(3) Decision Point: Once you have read through the letter of preliminary acceptance and we have answered any questions or concerns that you might have, it is time to pay your application fee. Please note that we will refund your application fee if you decide not to go, subject to our legal terms of service.

(4) Confirmation: Once the application fee is paid, our office in China will contact you to ensure everything is organized. We will also send you the link to our 20 page program guide which covers topics such as: country information, travel links, visa application process, fundraising ideas and much more!

(5) Communication and Support: Throughout your teaching placement we will communicate with you to see how you are progressing and discuss any issues.
